This is a typeface I made for Paris. Paris is in my mind an elegant, relaxing, energetic and romantic city surrounded by flowers, so I took the element of flowers and used it in my design. So I started with the letter a, I modified the letter a upside down to make a letter y, then I modified the curvature of one part of the letter to make it look like a flower petal, and then I applied it to my overall design to make it look unified and complete.
