Coraline

Title Sequence

Cinema4D, Nomad Sculpt and After Effects

Colaborator: Mix Sun

We’re making a title sequence inspired by Coraline, a stop-motion film that mixes fantasy and horror. It’s about a girl who finds a world that looks better than her own, but soon turns dark and unsettling.
In our animation, we want to capture that mix of magic and eeriness.
Our goal is to build a world that feels strange but beautiful

Key Learnings

We’re using a continuous one-shot to make the experience feel smooth and immersive. The camera moves through different worlds without cutting.

Inspired by the film, we imagined the title sequence as one long shot that moves through key places — like the garden, circus, and theater — showing the Other Mother’s made-up perfect world.
