​Scent evokes colors in my mind—the damp earth after rain feels like crisp blue, fresh ink on paper radiates warm brown, and a kitten’s faintly fermented fur carries a cozy orange hue. To me, scent is more than a detail; it’s a bridge between memory and imagination.

As a motion designer and illustrator, I find joy in capturing that same multisensory depth in my work. Just as scent awakens color, still images come alive—hues flow, textures breathe, and stories unfold through motion. I am Yika Yan, a visual storyteller dedicated to making experiences more vivid, immersive, and expressive.
